This item comes with a 12" aluminum pipe with a 1.5" outside diameter and a 1" inside diameter for use in eddy-current magnet experiments. Drop a regular steel ball bearing into the tube and watch it fall to the bottom in about .2 seconds, then drop one of our neodymium rare earth magnets (same diameter) into the tube and watch it fall slowly, almost 5 full seconds to reach the bottom of the tube! The Tube we will send you is rough sawn, and will require sanding (sandpaper is included).
