Neodymium MagnetsNeodymium magnets (sintered NdFeB) are more powerful than any other permanent magnet material on the market today. Neodymium magnets have a somewhat lower maximum operating temperature than other types of magnetic materials, so this should be considered when choosing a grade. Various grades of neodymium magnets are available with varying temperature and MGO characteristics. All neodymium magnets oxidize fairly rapidly when exposed, so an anti-corrosive coating (usually electroplating) is used to extend their useful lifespan. Extreme care must be excercised when handling neodymium magnets as they can easily pinch fingers. NdFeB magnets are not suitable for children.
These rare earth neodymium magnets are spherical in shape and have incredible power. The magnetic fields of sphere magnets are concentrated more at the poles than other shapes like discs or block magnets. These neodymium magnet spheres are great for experimentation and magic tricks and are just plain fascinating to handle.
Block / Plate / Bar Magnets
Plate / Block / Bar Magnets are rectangular or square shaped. Made from powerful neodymium magnet (NdFeB) material, they serve a wide range of applications from scientific, industrial to home/hobby use.
High energy rare earth neodymium magnets in an ABS plastic housing. These neodymium magnets are pertect for magnetic whiteboards, pinning notes on refrigerators, filing cabinets or as backing for a pinless nametag.
Round flat neodymium magnets, perfect for low profile applications, or high power holding applications. If you need a lot of strength from a thin magnet these neodymium magnets will fit any application, sizes range from 1/32" diameter to 6" diameter. Custom sizes are available.
Pot / Cup Magnets
These cup magnets (often called pot magnets) are made by encasing a powerful neodymium magnet in a steel housing. The steel housing is designed in a way that redirects the south pole to face the same direction as the north pole, enhancing the magnets pull as well as protecting it from impact damage.
Tube / Ring Magnets
These powerful neodymium magnets have a center hole and are perfect for any neodymium magnet application that requires that the magnet be fit over a steel core, or maybe even threaded like a bead. The hole in the middle can be used to mount with a screw, or sown into fabric, or even tied to a string.
