Strong MagnetsThese strong magnets sold by Amazing Magnets are made of compound of neodymium iron and boron (NdFeB). NdFeB magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnets available. Generally used in industrial applications due to their extreme strength they have also have proved to be very useful for many other day-to-day applications requiring extremely strong magnets. Available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes these strong magnets are a perfect solution for your ultimate holding requirement. Extreme care must be exercised when handling these magnets, as they can easily pinch fingers, and cause extreme pain if mishandled.
Bar / Plate / Block Magnets
Block magnets (also called plate or bar magnets) are square, rectangular and flat. Used in a wide variety of applications requiring a strong magnet, they are usually embedded inside another material such as plastic, or often flush mounted. These strong magnets get their strength from the rare earth composition (NdFeB), and are starting to be used in more day to day applications when limited size and maximum strength is needed.
Cup / Pot Magnets
Pot Magnets (often called cup magnets) are made of a strong magnet (made of neodymium, iron and boron) encased in steel housing. Rare earth neodymium magnets are very strong magnets by themselves but are even stronger when in a cup configuration. These magnets are well suited for a variety of fixture or holding applications.
Neodymium disc magnets are one of the most popular and strong magnets sold by Amazing Magnets. They are round and flat, and usually magnetized on their flat face. Some sizes are also available with diametrical magnetism if rotational motion control is required. Ranging in size from 1/32" to 6" (with custom sizes available) these strong magnets should meet just about any requirement.
Ring / Tube Magnets
Tube Magnets (also called ring magnets when they are thinner) are very strong magnets which are round in shape, and have a center hole. These strong magnets like most of the magnets we sell are made of a composition of neoymium iron and boron (NdFeB) and are well suited to applications requiring a center mounting hole, or when magnets need to be threaded.
Rod magnets are round in shape and have a length greater than their diameter. All of the rod magnets are very strong magnets useful for a wide variety of applications. Due to their shape they can be easily inserted or bonded into a drilled hole. Made of the rare earth metal composition (NdFeB) these strong magnets are sure to suit many applications.
Spherical Magnets (or ball magnets) which have a polarity configuration similar to the earth. These are very strong magnets (especially at the two poles) due to the high magnetic field concentration at the poles. Two or more of these strong magnets will attach like beads (without thread) creating an invisible linked chain.
Whiteboard magnets are very strong magnets which are made by encasing a rare earth neodyium magnet inside an ABS housing. Due to their higher profile, these pawn shaped magnets are sure to please in a variety of office/home applications as they are easy to move around yet extrememly strong. Similiarly sized rare earth magnets (without the housing) are also very strong magnets but nearly impossible to move around.
